IMAGES FROM AN ANTARCTIC TOUR BY SV JOHN BISCOE

Below, you can see a collection of images showing some of the dramatic scenery and untamed wildlife you may encounter if you embark on a Falkland Islands and Antarctic cruise.

Most of these photographs of the Antarctic were taken during a resupply and survey mission by the first SV John Biscoe. (Not to be confused with the later replacement vessel of the same name which continued from 1956 - 1991)

Based at Port Stanley, Falkland Islands, the first John Biscoe operated from 1947-56 as a supply and research vessel for the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey.
